I got the opportunity to do visual branding and logo design for a vegan-friendly & natural skincare brand called Shayde Beauty. Which is based in New York and owned by this beautiful lovely soul Shay Paresh.

Shayde Beauty Brand Overview

Shayde Beauty is a vegan beauty brand started in 2018. Focusing on diversity, inclusivity, and normalization in the beauty industry. They believe in transparency when it comes to knowing what is in our products and strongly feel that ingredients should be natural and clearly identifiable. Shayde Beauty is a 100% cruelty-free brand with no animal testing, vegan. Shayde Beauty believes in creating essential products for everyday women that will make you feel empowered to conquer every obstacle in your path and make the impossible possible.

Their mission is to create change in the beauty industry. Whi is by showcasing women from all ethnicities, focusing on different skin-tones. Their target audience were women of all colour between the ages of 18 – 40 years

Creative Brief

Shayde Beauty wanted a simple minimalistic branding. They, wanted different logo variations so it can be used throughout all the platforms from print, packaging, social media and website. Having a complete visual of brand look and feel makes the brand look strong and consistent

The thought process behind the logo

The thought process for a simple and modern visual branding and logo design for a vegan-friendly & natural skincare brand was fun and interesting on how to come up with concepts that define their value.

  1. The stand-alone typeface gives out the feeling of strong, bold, and ambitious brand visually.
  2. A simple minimal san serif typeface is used in the logo to represent the diversity of the product and their values that can morphe into any personality.
  3. Having a black and white as the primary brand colours focus on how the brand can cater to a diverse market keeping it sophisticated, luxurious and empowering.
